How do I register a .org domain name ?

To register your .org domain name, you must first check the availability of your domain name. Once it is valid, you can start your procedure via the registration form available on the website.

How do I renew a .org domain name ?

Genious Communications undertakes to inform the Customer of the expiration of his domain name thirty (30) days and ten (10) days before the expiration date with an additional reminder five (5) days after the expiration date.

However, you can easily renew the domain yourself from the client area on your personal account.

How do I transfer a .org domain name ?

If the Customer wishes to transfer his domain name to another provider, he has to :

  • First wait sixty (60) days after the registration of the domain name to be able to carry out the transfer.

  • Retrieve the EPP code from the Client Interface,

  • Finally, disable the Registrar Lock to unlock the domain name.

Changing ownership of a .org domain name

The Client's transmission of the domain name to a third party is only enforceable by Genious Communications if :

  • Genious Communications receives the notification of transfer by electronic mail ;

  • The transfer fees for a change of Registrant are paid ;

  • The documents are signed by the Registry, and the transfer procedure specific to the domain concerned is respected.
